Path to Wellness: Trusted Reno Acupuncture Clinic
Path to Wellness is the most complete and capable Reno acupuncture clinic. Located on Lakeside Drive, Path to Wellness offers a full variety of eastern medical practices—including acupuncture, herbal medicines (herbology), cupping, moxibustion, and nutritional counseling and assistance.
Opened in 2003 by Dr. Maureen McKenney, Path to Wellness offers patients a welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable while actively improving their well-being. Through Path to Wellness, Dr. Maureen McKenney practices a holistic approach to patient care, identifying potential beneficial treatments by listening to each patient and treating them uniquely. For many, this means a combination of acupuncture, traditional Chinese herbal medicine and modifications to everyday routines.
Dr. Maureen McKenney
Prior to become a fully licensed acupuncturist and Oriental Medicine Doctor (O.M.D.), Maureen McKenney was an acupuncture patient. A lifetime sufferer of persistent allergies, McKenney exhausted nearly every remedy she came across before eventually identifying acupuncture as a potential treatment. After beginning a continual regimen with former Reno acupuncturist Dr. John Diamond, McKenney finally found allergy relief. Captivated by the possibilities of acupuncture—and Chinese medicine in general—McKenney enrolled at the nationally recognized Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, California. After earning her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine, McKenney moved back to her hometown to open a holistic, welcoming acupuncture clinic in Reno.
Today, Dr. McKenney continues to move Path to Wellness forward as one of the leading acupuncture clinics in Nevada. Her dedication to her field has taken her around the country to continue her ongoing education, gaining expertise in a variety of eastern medicine disciplines.
When not practicing in the Path to Wellness offices, Dr. McKenney jumps at any opportunity to educate others about the healing powers of eastern medicine. Dr. McKenney speaks in front of groups and sits on forums that aim to advance acupuncture as a both a standalone treatment and as a compliment to many western medical practices.
